Welcome to the site for the BHS Class of 1959 Reunion.
The Bayard High School graduating class of 1959 held their 50th year reunion Friday and Saturday, June 19-20 in conjunction with the Bayard High Alumni Reunion. Twenty six former classmates met at the Bayard Depot Museum Friday afternoon and got re-acquainted. Thanks to the Museum for letting us use it. Everyone enjoyed looking at the displays (especially the school room) or visiting with friends they hadn't seen for a long time.
Forty-three classmates and spouses enjoyed a great meal at the Oregon Trail Wagon Train, along with the wagon rides and sing-a-long. We enjoyed an excellent brunch at Sweet Basil Saturday morning and had time for lots of visiting and catching up. Many of the group also attended the Bayard High Annual Reunion Banquet Saturday evening.
Cliff and Carol Calvert of Jacksonville, FL travelled the furthest, followed by Mike and Donna (Kamerzell) Givens from Oregon, Charles and Jan Rutan from Washington, Mary Helen (Coolidge) Collamore from Virginia and Vance and Karen Nelson from North Dakota. We were also pleased that so many local classmates made the effort to attend. The Alumni comittee hopes that everyone had a great time and renewed many old memories of Hometown USA and our favorite Tigers!
